In a Country world increasingly ruled by Bro boys and shiny Spring Break anthems, the Troubadours bring the genre right back to its roots - finely wrought vignettes of love and loss. Not many other bands could pull of a track like 'The Bird Hunters' for instance, a wonderful portrait of a man looking back over his failed marriage while out hunting with his childhood buddy.
